The 2010 – 2011 season was a spectacular season for girls football in Liskeard. In the fourth year since girls football was started in the town the club had its most successful season to date. The Under 15s had their best ever season with their highest ever league finish and winning the Charlestown Summer Tournament. The u12s just missed out on being runners up in the league on the last day of the season and were County Cup finalists. Then finally the u14s did a league and cup double winning the Kernow league without dropping a point and winning the County Cup final 8 – 0. By winning the County Cup the Under 14s then went on as Cornwall’s representatives at the South West Championships which they won in style as they got the better of the County Champions from 6 other Counties to be crowned South West Champions. This then lead to the National Finals played at Pride Park home of Derby County FC which after a hard fought game they lost to Southampton but to get to that stage was a massive achievement for a team who had only been together for two years.
